Denbigh Hospital, or North Wales Counties Lunatic Asylum, was opened in 1848. It would care for patients from the five northern Welsh Counties. Flint, Denbigh, Merioneth, Caenarvon and Anglesea. Closed in 1995, and has been neglected and is in a poor condition whilst a decision is made on its future.
